The brand

LAPCOS blends Korean skincare science with Los Angeles. Founder Cindy Lee set up the brand's US home base in the city in 2017, and the line has grown from sheet masks into body masks, haircare and bath, with the Lifting Booty Mask and Calming Bikini Mask as staples since 2019 and Dr. 14 Vital Care shampoo and conditioner as the haircare lead. Products are cruelty free and free of parabens and sulfates.

The channel mix is the interesting part for anyone running a beauty brand. LAPCOS sells through specialty and lifestyle retail, Urban Outfitters, PacSun, World Market; through a drug chain, CVS; through boutique wholesale on Faire; to salons, where the bikini masks are popular with waxing accounts; and direct to consumer on lapcosusa.com and Amazon. Korean and Japanese retail run alongside. That is the whole beauty channel table on one brand.

The operating shape

A sheet mask is a consumable sold in singles, five packs and variety sets, and the same mask reaches a CVS shelf, an Urban Outfitters store, a Faire boutique, a salon and a Shopify customer from one pool of stock. Each of those buys differently. CVS is a purchase order with a compliance schedule. Urban Outfitters is specialty wholesale on its own program. Faire is small boutique orders, many of them, with Faire's own terms. A salon reorders a case of bikini masks when the last one runs out. A Shopify customer wants it Thursday.

Run those from four systems and the number is never the same twice. Run them from one and the problem becomes allocation: which units are committed to a CVS purchase order, which are free for the site, and what is on order from the factory in Korea that has not landed yet. That is the shape AIMS360 was built for, and it is the shape LAPCOS runs.

  • The same product, four channel shapesDrug chain, specialty retail, boutique wholesale and DTC drawing on one inventory. None reserves stock for the others unless the system does.
  • Production is overseas and ahead of the seasonPurchase orders to the manufacturer, goods on the water, landed cost including freight and duty, all before the first unit can be sold.
  • The books have to agree with the warehouseEvery channel's invoices, payments and cost of goods landing in QuickBooks without anyone re-keying them.
  • Margin by channel is the real questionA five pack at CVS, a single on Faire and a variety set on Shopify carry different costs and different prices. Which one makes money is not obvious from a spreadsheet.

Six workflows LAPCOS runs on AIMS360

Confirmed by AIMS360. Described here as capabilities of the platform as LAPCOS uses them, without results figures, because LAPCOS has not published any.

01

Inventory management

Every mask, pack size and set on one inventory record, across warehouse locations, with one available to sell number that every channel reads. Singles, five packs and variety sets are configurations of the same product rather than unrelated SKUs, so a strong week on Shopify cannot quietly consume the units a CVS purchase order was counting on.

02

Wholesale orders

Retail and boutique orders in one order book: specialty and drug accounts, Faire boutique orders and salon reorders, each with its own pricing and terms, all allocating against the same pool. The salon that reorders a case of bikini masks and the chain that sends a purchase order are the same workflow at different scales.

03

Production

Purchase orders to the manufacturer, goods on the water, receiving against the PO and landed cost rolled into the unit, so the margin on a mask includes what it cost to get it from Korea to Los Angeles. AIMS360 does not do formulation; it runs the purchase, the receipt and the cost.

04

Shopify DTC

lapcosusa.com orders flow into AIMS360 through the Shopify integration, draw on the same inventory as wholesale, and fulfill from the same warehouse. Shopify is one sales channel among several, not the container for the rest.

05

QuickBooks integration

Invoices, payments, credit memos, cost of goods sold and inventory adjustments post to QuickBooks as journal entries mapped to the chart of accounts, through the AIMS360 QuickBooks integration. The books match the warehouse without re-keying.

06

Margin analysis in AI

Margin by product, by channel and by customer, asked in plain language and answered from live AIMS360 data through the AIMS360 AI connection to ChatGPT, Claude or Grok. Which pack size makes money at which retailer is a question, not a spreadsheet project.

What this says about beauty on AIMS360

LAPCOS is the first beauty brand with a case study on this site, and the operating shape is the point. A K-beauty brand is a consumables business with production overseas, a drug chain, specialty retail, boutique wholesale, salons and DTC on one catalog, and books that have to close every month. That is not an apparel problem with the words changed. It is the beauty problem the beauty and personal care ERP page describes, and the same platform runs it.

The six workflows above are the ones LAPCOS runs. The platform also carries lot and batch numbers and expiration dates on inventory, shade and fill variants on the style record, samples and gift with purchase units outside sellable stock, and native EDI to Sephora, Ulta, Target, CVS and 350+ other retailers. Whether and how a given beauty brand uses each of those is its own decision.

LAPCOS and AIMS360

LAPCOS is a Korean-born sheet mask specialist with its home base in Los Angeles since 2017. Per lapcosusa.com, Urban Outfitters, CVS, PacSun and World Market in the US, with Korean and Japanese retail alongside. Public coverage adds Amazon, boutique wholesale on Faire and salon accounts, particularly waxing salons for the bikini masks. The brand also sells direct on lapcosusa.com.

Six workflows, confirmed by AIMS360: inventory management, wholesale orders, production purchase orders and receiving, Shopify DTC, the QuickBooks integration and AI margin analysis. That covers the product from purchase order to sale to the books, across every channel LAPCOS sells through.

The purchase, the receipt and the cost. Purchase orders to the manufacturer, goods in transit, receiving against the order and landed cost including freight and duty rolled into the unit. AIMS360 does not do formulation, stability testing or regulatory submissions; those stay with the brand and its manufacturer.

One available to sell pool with allocation rules. A drug chain purchase order, a specialty retail order, a boutique order on Faire and a Shopify checkout all draw on the same units, and the system decides what is committed and what is free rather than four systems each holding their own number. That is the omnichannel order management AIMS360 was built on, and the reason a strong week on the site cannot oversell a retailer purchase order.

AIMS360 connects to ChatGPT, Claude and Grok so an operator can ask about live orders, inventory and margin in plain language and get an answer from the ERP data rather than from an export. Margin by product, by channel and by customer is one of the questions that connection answers. See the AI demo page for how it works.

Yes. Beauty and personal care is one of ten consumer brand industries AIMS360 serves, with shade and fill variants, lot and expiration tracking, sample and gift with purchase handling, native EDI to Sephora, Ulta, Target and CVS, Shopify and Amazon, and accounting integrations including QuickBooks.
