Decorated apparel ERP for print, embroidery and blanks, where the order becomes the product

A decorated apparel order is a blank, a piece of art and a process: 144 heather grey tees, left-chest logo, two-color screen print, due Friday. The blank is inventory, the decoration is production, and the customer's art belongs to that order alone. AIMS360 was built on apparel matrices, production and native EDI, and it holds blanks, decoration stages and per-order costing on one record. Full Turn Custom Apparel runs on it.

02 / The operational reality

A decorated order is a blank plus a process, and most systems only know one of them.

The blank is a style, color and size matrix bought by the case from the mills and held in bulk. The decoration is production: art approval, screens or digitizing, print or stitch, cure, fold, pack, with a cost per placement that changes by color count, stitch count and quantity. The customer's art belongs to that order and nobody else's. A team store adds names and numbers per unit.

Most systems are either an inventory system that cannot run decoration as a stage, or a shop management tool that cannot hold 40,000 blanks by size or ship an EDI 856 to Lids. Decorators end up with two systems and a spreadsheet between them.

AIMS360 holds the blank on the style, color and size matrix, bought by the case through vendor purchase orders with prepacks and case packs, runs decoration as a tracked stage through production process tracking and WIP transfer tracking with the art, placement and cost on the order line, and ships retail programs on native EDI. Full Turn Custom Apparel runs the front end on RepSpark and the back end on AIMS360.

03 / Capabilities

Three capability blocks built for the decorated apparel operator

Blank inventory and case packs

Style by color by size on one record, bought by the case through vendor purchase orders, received and picked with barcodes and RFID, with prepacks and case packs for the case quantities the mills ship.

Decoration as tracked production

Screen print, embroidery, DTF and transfer as stages in production process tracking, contractor or in-house, with the customer's art, placement and per-placement cost on the order line and the bill of materials carrying ink, thread and film.

Programs, portals and native EDI

Team, corporate and club programs on WebLink or RepSpark with per-account pricing, and retail programs into Lids, Fanatics, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Dick's Sporting Goods and Scheels on native EDI.

05 / The retailer table

The retailer table for decorated apparel

Decorated apparel sells through programs more than retailers: corporate, team, school, club and event customers who reorder the same art. Where it does sell at retail, it is licensed and sporting goods, on EDI.

Licensed and sporting goods retail. Lids and Fanatics run licensed headwear and apparel on their own vendor manuals, including dropship; Academy Sports + Outdoors, Dick's Sporting Goods and Scheels buy team and licensed apparel on bulk EDI. All are mapped natively.

Golf, resort and club. Pro shops and resorts buy logo programs by assortment through reps; RepSpark is the platform the golf trade already uses, and Full Turn Custom Apparel runs it in front of AIMS360.

Corporate, team and promo. Uniform programs, team dealers and promo distributors order on a portal with their art on file, and reorder without a rep. Amazon carries the blank and basic volume on its own program.

Beyond those, the same native EDI reaches the 350+ retailer network, and boutique wholesale runs as sales orders written in RemoteLink, WebLink or the B2B platform your buyers already use.

06 / Decoration as a stage

The tee is not finished when it is pulled from the shelf

A blank becomes a product on the press or the embroidery head. Between the pull and the ship there is art approval, screens burned or the file digitized, a print or stitch run with a setup cost and a per-piece cost that changes with colors and stitch count, curing, folding, bagging and packing to the customer's spec. Miss one and the order is late; misprice one and the order is free.

AIMS360 runs decoration as production. The order raises the stages in production process tracking, in-house or at a contractor tracked through WIP transfer tracking, with the customer's art, placement and per-placement cost on the order line and the bill of materials carrying ink, thread, film and labels. The blank is consumed from inventory when it is pulled, not when it ships.

Program customers reorder the same art on WebLink without a rep; golf and club programs run through RepSpark; and reps write custom orders in RemoteLink on the road. The 2027 trade show calendar has Impressions Expo Long Beach and Atlantic City for 2027.

07 / The alternatives

AIMS360 vs. the alternatives decorated apparel companies consider

Decorators usually arrive at AIMS360 from a shop management tool plus QuickBooks, or from a general ERP that could hold blanks but not run decoration as a stage or ship a Lids 856. The apparel ERP guide covers the field.

The question to ask any system: show me 40,000 blanks by size, one team order with names and numbers, its embroidery stage at a contractor, the cost per placement on the line, and the Fanatics dropship 856, on one screen.

For a structured comparison against named systems, see the comparison pages and the ERP buying guide.

08 / Who it changes things for

What changes for each person on the decoration team

Owner and operator. One number for blanks on hand, orders in production and what ships Friday, across programs, contract work and EDI.

Art and production. Art approval and placement on the order; stages raised and tracked, in-house or contractor.

Purchasing. Blank purchase orders by the case from the mills, driven from the order book and the thresholds on core blanks.

Sales and account managers. Program pricing per account, reorders on the portal, custom orders written in RemoteLink.

Warehouse and press floor. Blanks pulled by scan and consumed at the stage; program packing slips and retailer carton labels from the order.

Finance. Per-placement costs land on the line; the 810 comes off the shipment; factoring runs as a native workflow.

10 / FAQ

What decorated apparel operators ask

What is the best ERP for a screen printing or embroidery business?

One that holds blanks by style, color and size in bulk, runs decoration as a tracked production stage with the art and cost on the order, gives program customers a portal, and ships retail programs on native EDI. AIMS360 does all four, and Full Turn Custom Apparel runs on it.

How does AIMS360 handle blanks inventory?

Blanks sit on the style, color and size matrix, bought by the case through vendor purchase orders with prepacks and case packs for case quantities, received and pulled by barcodes and RFID, and consumed when the press or the embroidery head takes them.

Can AIMS360 track screen print and embroidery as production?

Yes. Each order raises its stages in production process tracking, in-house or at a contractor through WIP transfer tracking, with the customer's art, placement and per-placement cost on the order line.

How do team names and numbers work?

They are per-unit attributes on the order line, so a team order of 24 jerseys carries 24 names and numbers into production and onto the packing slip.

Which retailers does AIMS360 connect to for licensed and team apparel?

Lids, Fanatics, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Dick's Sporting Goods, Scheels and Amazon, natively, within the native EDI network of 350+ retailers, including dropship for the licensed accounts.

Does Full Turn Custom Apparel use AIMS360?

Yes. Full Turn Custom Apparel makes custom-branded apparel for golf clubs, resorts, teams, colleges and corporations, runs its front end on RepSpark and its back end on AIMS360.

Can corporate and team customers reorder on their own?

Yes, on WebLink, with their art on file and their program pricing, and orders queue for review before they import so a changed logo or a credit hold is caught first.

Does AIMS360 handle case packs from the mills?

Yes. Case quantities are prepacks and case packs with their own barcodes, so a case of 72 is received as one scan and broken to size when it is pulled.
