Who Is AIMS360 For? Fit by Revenue, Channels and DTC Share

Who AIMS360 fits

Built for brands that own their product, from the first wholesale order to $400M+ in sales.

AIMS360 is a consumer brands ERP for companies that design, make or import their own product and sell it in more than one place: a Shopify store, wholesale accounts, department stores on EDI, marketplaces and their own shops. This page sets out who it fits by revenue and by business type, what changes as a brand's DTC share grows, and the two kinds of business that are better off with something else.

By , CEO, AIMS360. He wrote code inside apparel brands before running one of the ERPs they buy. Published November 3, 2026.

Short answer: AIMS360 fits consumer brands that own their product and sell it through two or more channels, typically from about $1 million to $400 million+ in sales. That includes DTC brands on Shopify, wholesale brands shipping department stores on EDI, brands that run their own stores, and companies running several brands. Apparel is the core, along with footwear, accessories, beauty, sporting goods, home and pet. It isn't the right fit for a business under about $500K in sales or not yet selling, or for a boutique that resells other brands' products. The share of revenue that comes from DTC doesn't decide it. What decides it is whether your stock, production and orders from every channel need to sit on one record.

Disclosure: AIMS360 publishes this page about itself. Every capability below links to the AIMS360 page that documents it, and every customer example links to its case study.

By revenue

Who is AIMS360 for, by revenue?

Revenue is a rough guide. The number of channels you sell through, and whether you make or import your own goods, matter more.

Swipe the table sideways on a phone.
Where the brand is What it usually runs AIMS360 fit
Not selling yet, or under about $500K Shopify, spreadsheets and an accounting app Not yet. An ERP adds work before it saves any. The time to look is when wholesale accounts, production runs or a retailer's EDI requirement arrive.
About $500K to $5M First wholesale accounts, first production runs, one warehouse or a 3PL Fits once wholesale, production or EDI starts. The Bronze plan is sized for a core team of three.
About $5M to $100M Shopify DTC, wholesale, EDI retailers, marketplaces, more than one warehouse The center of the customer base. Silver and Gold are sized for teams of five and ten.
$100M to $400M+ Several brands or companies, high order volume, deep catalogs Fits. One customer processed 1.2 million orders in a single day, catalogs run past 160,000 SKUs, and Beyond Yoga scaled on AIMS360 through its roughly $400 million sale to Levi Strauss & Co.

Every plan runs the same full platform, including the warehouse management system. The plans differ only in the number of users, and add-ons like EDI trading partners, B2B and DTC integrations and RFID are quoted on top. Pricing is quoted per brand; the plan structure and the add-on list are on the pricing page.

Brands run AIMS360 alongside QuickBooks up to about $400 million in sales, with AIMS360 holding inventory and costing and QuickBooks receiving the journals. Larger companies connect Sage or NetSuite, scoped to each company during implementation.

By business type

Which kinds of businesses does AIMS360 fit?

The common thread is a brand that owns its product. How you make it and where you sell it can vary.

Fits

  • Brands that manufacture, in their own plant or with contractors: cut tickets, WIP, bills of materials and costing
  • Brands that import finished goods from their own factories overseas
  • DTC brands on Shopify that sell, or plan to sell, wholesale
  • Wholesale brands shipping department stores and specialty stores on EDI
  • Brands with their own retail stores, stocked from a warehouse, a distribution center or a 3PL
  • Companies running several brands, as divisions or separate companies

Not the fit

Both are covered further down, with what usually fits them better.

  • Businesses not yet selling, or under about $500K in sales
  • Boutiques and multi-brand stores that resell other brands' products

Apparel is where AIMS360 started in 1984, and size and color matrices, prepacks, seasons and retailer compliance are built into the core. The same platform runs footwear, jewelry, bags and accessories, beauty and personal care, outdoor and sporting goods, home, pet, baby and wellness brands. See industries.

DTC

Is AIMS360 good for DTC brands?

Yes, for DTC brands that own their product. Here's what the Shopify side looks like in practice.

AIMS360 has been in the Shopify App Store since January 2016, and the integration is built and maintained by AIMS360. It syncs six things: products with images and variants, inventory by warehouse, orders, shipping confirmations and tracking, cancels and quantity changes, and sales from every channel into one order book. Every event that changes what's available to sell, an order from any channel, a receipt, an adjustment, a transfer, a count or an invoice, recalculates the number and sends it to the matching Shopify location within moments.

What a DTC brand runs on it

  • Shopify, Shopify Plus, Shopify POS and Shopify B2B on one connection
  • Several Shopify stores, each in its own currency, from one stock record
  • Pre-orders that sell with no stock on hand, or against production due within a window you set
  • Returns from Loop, ReturnGO or Shopify POS back into the same record
  • Marketplaces through Shopify, including Amazon, Walmart and Target Plus

Brands doing it today

  • Retrofête: Shopify DTC, JOOR wholesale and retailer EDI orders all pull from inventory at its 3PL
  • MISA Los Angeles: Shopify DTC, wholesale to 300+ stockists in 35 countries, a boutique and LA production on one ledger
  • Generation Love: its own e-commerce, Shopify POS in its boutiques and wholesale to Saks and Bloomingdale's on one stock record
  • LAPCOS: Shopify DTC plus wholesale to Urban Outfitters, CVS, PacSun and Faire, with production and QuickBooks
  • Los Angeles Apparel: store, online and wholesale on one stock record, with 4x retail store revenue

Scale is covered too: the integration is the same one that processed 1.2 million orders in a single day for one AIMS360 customer. The full detail is on the Shopify integration page, and the warehouse, Shopify and wholesale setup walks through a brand running all three.

Channel mix

Does it matter what share of revenue comes from DTC?

Channel mix moves every year. These three checks tell you more about an ERP than a percentage does.

  1. Can wholesale and EDI commitments be protected from the storefront? In AIMS360 you choose. With separated pools, stock committed to wholesale and EDI is ring fenced and Shopify sees only the remainder. With a shared pool, every channel sells from one number. Inventory templates decide exactly what each Shopify location sees, so a department store PO and a checkout can't take the same unit.
  2. Can the storefront sell ahead of the goods without promising a unit twice?AIMS360 runs Shopify pre-orders two ways: sell with no stock on hand, or count production due within a window you set. When the goods are received, allocation gives them to the waiting orders by your rules, wholesale and DTC alike.
  3. Can the 3PL's shipment confirmation build the retailer's paperwork? The 3PL returns a 945 with carton, weight, SSCC and tracking detail, and AIMS360 builds the 856 ASN, the GS1-128 carton labels and the 810 invoice from it. More than 30 3PLs have pre-built connections, by EDI or API. See 3PL integrations.
A brand whose DTC share grows from 10% to 60% keeps the same AIMS360 setup. The pools and templates change. The system doesn't.

Buyer checklist

What should you ask any ERP before you buy?

Five questions that separate a demo from a system that works on your busiest day. AIMS360's answers are in the second column.

Swipe the table sideways on a phone.
Ask every vendor AIMS360's answer
While a department store PO is open, what does Shopify show as sellable for that style? Open to sell after wholesale, EDI and marketplace commitments, on the template you set for that Shopify location.
When pre-ordered goods arrive, which orders get them? Allocation hands the received units to waiting orders by your rules, DTC and wholesale alike.
What comes back from the 3PL on a shipment, and who builds the retailer ASN? A 945 with cartons, weights, SSCC and tracking. AIMS360 builds the 856, the carton labels and the 810 from it.
How is EDI billed? A flat monthly fee per retailer with unlimited transactions. No kilocharacter, per-document, per-line or VAN fees.
Who implements it, and how long does it take? AIMS360's own team. 99% of customers are live within 90 days, with a 97.5% project success rate. Implementation is billed hourly; onboarding and support are free.

Bring the same five to every demo. The best fashion ERP comparison puts ten systems side by side, and the compare hub has head-to-head pages.

Not the fit

When is AIMS360 not the right choice?

Two kinds of business, and what usually fits them better.

Not selling yet, or under about $500K

Shopify and an accounting app usually cover it. An ERP pays back when the business adds wholesale accounts, production runs or a retailer that requires EDI, so that's the time to look. Brands that know those are coming often start conversations early to plan the move.

Boutiques that resell other brands

A store that buys from many brands and sells at a register needs retail merchandising, buying and a point of sale. A retail POS and merchandising system fits that better. AIMS360 fits retailers that are brands, selling their own product in their own stores, stocked from a warehouse or a distribution center.

Everything between those two, from a $2 million Shopify brand opening its first wholesale accounts to a company running several brands past $300 million, is the range AIMS360 is built for.

FAQ

Who AIMS360 is for: FAQ

Direct answers to what brands ask before they put AIMS360 on a shortlist.

Yes, for DTC brands that own their product. AIMS360 has been in the Shopify App Store since January 2016 and syncs products, inventory by warehouse, orders, shipping, cancels and returns in real time, across several stores and currencies, with pre-orders and Shopify POS. Retrofête, MISA Los Angeles, Generation Love and LAPCOS run Shopify DTC alongside wholesale on it. See the Shopify integration.

No. AIMS360 runs DTC, wholesale, retailer EDI, marketplaces and a brand's own stores on one stock record, and the share of revenue from each can change without changing the setup. Its built-in EDI for 350+ retailers is what wholesale brands notice first, which is why it's sometimes described as a wholesale system. See omnichannel order management.

Brands from about $1 million to $400 million+ in sales, with most between $5 million and $100 million. At the top end, one customer processed 1.2 million orders in a single day, catalogs run past 160,000 SKUs, and Beyond Yoga scaled on AIMS360 through its roughly $400 million sale to Levi Strauss & Co. See case studies.

Not before about $500K in sales. Below that, Shopify and an accounting app usually cover it. AIMS360 starts to pay back when a brand adds wholesale accounts, production runs or a retailer that requires EDI. The Bronze plan is sized for a core team of three. See pricing.

It works for retailers that are brands, selling their own product in their own stores, stocked from a warehouse, a distribution center or a 3PL, with Shopify POS at the register. It isn't built for boutiques that resell other brands' products, which need a retail merchandising and POS system instead. See Shopify POS.

Yes. With separated pools, stock committed to wholesale and EDI is ring fenced and Shopify sees only the remainder. Or you can run one shared pool. Inventory templates decide what each Shopify location sees, and every order, receipt, adjustment or transfer updates it within moments. See inventory management.

Yes. More than 30 3PLs have pre-built AIMS360 connections, by X12 warehouse EDI (940, 943, 944, 945, 947, 846) or by API. The 3PL's 945 comes back with carton detail, and AIMS360 builds the retailer's 856 ASN, carton labels and 810 invoice from it. AIMS360 builds and maintains these connections in house. See 3PL integrations.

Yes, two ways, and it's the customer's choice: divisions inside one company, with 36 standard, or separate companies on the multi-entity add-on. Each brand can run its own Shopify store, wholesale accounts and EDI retailers. See the multi-brand setup.

Runway, the web version of AIMS360, runs most functions today, including the warehouse management system and the handheld scanners, with the rest coming. The full ERP runs in the Windows Cloud App on Microsoft Azure, opened in Microsoft's free Windows App on a PC or Mac, or in a browser. There's no server to buy or install. See technology.

99% of AIMS360 customers are live within 90 days, with a 97.5% project success rate. AIMS360's own team runs the implementation, billed hourly, and onboarding and support are free. See implementation.

Apparel and fashion first, plus footwear, jewelry, bags and accessories, beauty and personal care, outdoor and sporting goods, home and furniture, pet, baby and wellness brands. See industries.
